Dr. Marco Antonio Raupp

Former Minister of Science and Technology of Brazil. Marco António Raupp holds a PhD in Mathematics from the University of Chicago and is a lecturer at the University of São Paulo, where he had previously been an associate professor in the university’s Institute of Mathematics and Statistics. He completed his undergraduate degree in Physics at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul. He has been a researcher and director of Brazil’s National Institute for Space Research (INPE) and the National Laboratory for Scientific Computation (LNCC). As head of the INPE’s board of directors, he was involved in the negotiations that resulted in the CBERS satellite program in cooperation with China. While at the INPE, he was also responsible for setting up the Integration and Tests Laboratory (LIT), and at the LNCC he created the Bioinformatics Laboratory. He was one of the driving forces behind the creation of the São José dos Campos Technology Park, an organization that he headed from 2008 to 2011, where he spearheaded a number of innovative projects. He served as president and advisor for the Brazilian Society for Scientific Progress (SBPC) and as a member of the supervisory board of the Fundação Carlos Chagas Filho de Amparo à Pesquisa do Estado do Rio de Janeiro (FAPERJ). He is a member of the International Academy of Astronautics (IAA). From March 2011 to January 2012, he chaired the Brazilian Space Agency (AEB), an institution where his broad experience in space policy and technology was put to good use. He also served on the board of directors of a bi-national company, Alcântara Cyclone Space (ACS). He has been a member of Brazil’s National Science and Technology Council (CCT), chair of the board of directors of the Center for Strategic Management and Studies (CGEE), and a member of the board of directors of the Brazilian Association for Synchrotron Light Technology (ABTLuS), all of which are institutions in the National System of Science, Technology, and Innovation. He has received the Grand Cross of the Order of Rio Branco from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Grand Cross of the National Order of Scientific Merit from the Ministry of Science and Technology. He has been awarded the honorific titles of Commander of the Order of Naval Merit, Brazilian Navy, and Commander of the Order of Aeronautical Merit, Brazilian Air Force. He has also been awarded a Medal of Honor from the State of Minas Gerais and the honorific title of Commander of the National Order of Merit of France.

David Domingos is a Doctor with the title Dr.-Ing. (note: „sehr gut“ or Magna cum Laude) at the Technical University of Berlin, Production Engineering and specialist in Manufacturing and Production Management at the Machine Tools Laboratory (WZL) at the Technical University of Aachen (RWTH Aachen). He studied at the University of Santa Catarina in Brazil and Cranfield University in the United Kingdom with a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. David is Head of Department leading the activities of the Fraunhofer IPK Institute (Berlin, Germany) in Brazil and Director at the Fraunhofer Project Center for Advanced Manufacturing @ ITA in Brazil. Operates in the development of strategies, project portfolio management and acquisition of strategic projects, in the coordination of international RD&I projects and networks, including the internationalization of the Photonics Berlin Cluster to Brazil. He is also a member of the Fraunhofer IPK Executive Committee and has over 18 years of experience in Brazil, Germany and the United Kingdom in applied research and innovation with an emphasis on the development of advanced manufacturing technologies (Industrie 4.0) for the automotive, mold and dies, optics, aerospace and turbo machines (turbines). He also served as Operations Manager for Brazil at the Fraunhofer Institute for Production Systems and Design Technology IPK in project portfolio management, strategy development and acquisition of strategic projects, in addition to carrying out the development and promotion of international cooperation with various stakeholders from the Brazilian innovation system, in addition to the strategic partnership between Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft and the National Learning Service SENAI and also in the establishment of international cooperation with the Instituto Tecnológico de Aeronáutica ITA.

Pablo Fava was born in Córdoba, Argentina. He graduated in Electro-mechanical Engineering from Universidad Tecnológica Nacional (UTN) and specialized with MBA in Business Management from Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV). In March 2020 he took charge of Siemens in Brazil and is the current CEO of the company. His professional career started in 1996 at Siemens where he developed activities as a Product Manager at the units in Argentina and Germany and later assumed a strategic activity as the Marketing Team Leader for Industrial Products. In 2003, he assumed the role of marketing and sales manager in Brazil and was promoted to general manager of industrial automation, general manager of service and vertical industrial segments, until he became Vice-President of Digital Industries in Brazil. Pablo is also a member of the Entrepreneurial Mobilization Leadership for Innovation (MEI) of the National Confederation of Industries (CNI) and a member of the ABIMAQ Superior Council.


Maurizio Bezzeccheri

Maurizio Bezzeccheri was born in 1958 and graduated cum laude in Chemical Engineering. He has held management positions in several multinational companies in Europe, the Americas, the Middle East and South-East Asia. He began his career in the petrochemical area of the Mannesmann group (1986), before moving to ILVA (1992), and then General Electric (1996), where he worked in the oil & gas sector. In 1999 he joined the Enel Group, where among other positions he served first as Head of Enel Green Power’s Europe Area and subsequently Head of the Iberia Area and Latin America Area. From 2015 to 31 July 2018, he was Country Manager for Argentina, where the Enel Group operates in the sectors of energy generation, transmission, distribution and sales. On 1 August 2018 he was appointed the Group’s Head of South America Region. From 1 July 2019, this became the Latin America Region, incorporating the Group’s activities in Costa Rica, Guatemala and Panama.

Oliver Grill has almost twenty years of work experience in different fields such as ICT, connectivity and production industries. He has always been working in international environment, first with Siemens in Austria Germany and Brazil, followed by Atos Brazil / Germany, and today with HUBER+SUHNER. He is an experienced manager having held different positions in sales and operations and leading international teams spread all over from India to Europe and Latin America. Oliver Grill gained in-depth experience in simultaneously managing both restructuring and business growth. This included successful change management, implementation of lean management and permanent adaptation of processes according to business needs. Oliver Grill has been living and working for nine years in Brazil. He holds a degree in mechanical engineering and an MBA from University of Vienna (Austria). Former Minister of Science and Technology of Brazil. Marco António Raupp holds a PhD in Mathematics from the University of Chicago and is a lecturer at the University of São Paulo, where he had previously been an associate professor in the university’s Institute of Mathematics and Statistics. He completed his undergraduate degree in Physics at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul. He has been a researcher and director of Brazil’s National Institute for Space Research (INPE) and the National Laboratory for Scientific Computation (LNCC). As head of the INPE’s board of directors, he was involved in the negotiations that resulted in the CBERS satellite program in cooperation with China. While at the INPE, he was also responsible for setting up the Integration and Tests Laboratory (LIT), and at the LNCC he created the Bioinformatics Laboratory. He was one of the driving forces behind the creation of the São José dos Campos Technology Park, an organization that he headed from 2008 to 2011, where he spearheaded a number of innovative projects. He served as president and advisor for the Brazilian Society for Scientific Progress (SBPC) and as a member of the supervisory board of the Fundação Carlos Chagas Filho de Amparo à Pesquisa do Estado do Rio de Janeiro (FAPERJ). He is a member of the International Academy of Astronautics (IAA). From March 2011 to January 2012, he chaired the Brazilian Space Agency (AEB), an institution where his broad experience in space policy and technology was put to good use.
